Review: Film review – When Harry Met Sally (1989) – An instant classic, this one stands the test of time. Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal star and they both give a good account of themselves. They have that certain something that makes a film like this transcend from just ordinary to great. The two first meet when they share a car ride to New York after finishing college and don't hit it off. As the years pass by they keep meeting and slowly they come closer together. To begin with they just become friends but..

Exploring the idea that it is impossible for a man and women to be 'just friends' this film comes to the conclusion that, that is indeed the case.

When Harry Met Sally is both funny and romantic. Its well written and there is some good support acting from Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby.

Points of note: There are some great interviews with real couples telling their true life love stories interspersed throughout the movie, also it has one of the most famous scenes in cinema when Meg Ryan fakes an orgasm in a diner.
